Ignition has worked extensively with QFES over the past few years to produce annual reports, anniversary books, infographics, promotional materials and more.

Queensland State Emergency Service (SES) 40th anniversary publication
THE Queensland State Emergency Service (SES) was creating a 40th anniversary publication. The SES asked Ignition Creative – as experts in graphic design for government – to tender for the concept, design and production of their 40th anniversary coffee-table book.
This book featured stories about the “Orange Angels” (SES volunteers), milestone events in the SES timeline and the organisation’s plans for the future.
Ignition collaborated with the SES from start to finish, providing services from print and project management to concept development and graphic design.

Strategy2030
Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) engaged our expert graphic design for government services to assist with the concept, design and delivery of its Strategy2030 planning document.
Ignition worked closely with QFES to create a document that was easy to read and understand to communicate complex timelines and information. We designed infographics, blending them with supplied imagery and stock photography to create the perfect page.
Ignition also designed the promotional postcards and posters to support Strategy2030.
Strategy2030 was rolled out in 2019 and became an integral part of QFES’s direction up to the present.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES): uniform lookbook/ catalogues
In early 2020, the QFES Uniforms & Logistics team asked Ignition to create their uniform look book and catalogue.
The purpose was to streamline the hundreds of uniform items across all four streams (QFES, Fire, Rescue and Operations Services, Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Service).
Ignition’s government graphic design team worked with QFES to develop a concept style, presenting uniform information in a way that was visually exciting and on-brand.
Ignition received each document in table format. For effortless reading, these were redesigned to support the approved concept.
We split the catalogue itself into four sections, one for each of the QFES streams. Photo-editing was a large part of the project, so for every single product we completed deep-etching, as well as colour-balancing and general image-editing where required.

is a campaign developed by the QFES Talent Acquisition team to attract volunteers and employees for the three QFES streams (Fire and Rescue Service, Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Service).
To promote the new campaign, Ignition developed marketing material with QFES — press advertising, posters and internal material; promotional material such as gym towels, sun shades and lanyards; and created interactive forms for internal use.
