JCL Law Firm Rebrand
Ignition had the honour and privilege to work closely with JCL Law Partners (previously James Conomos Lawyers) to create their new brand.
“Last year, we rebranded the firm with Ignition Creative’s assistance. The rebrand had been in the planning stage for some time. In early 2024, we decided to relocate offices from level 12 to level 4 in Turbot Place and combine the rebrand and office relocation. It made perfect sense to do both at the same time.

Rebrand included:
- New name development
- Logo redesign, logomark and brand assets
- Stationery design and print
- Website design and refresh
- Corporate Style Guide
- Office fit-out
“We worked with Ignition on all aspects of the rebrand, including key elements of the office relocation.
The rebrand included a new name, logo, brand assets, stationery (digital and physical), website, style guide, and office fit-out. We loved our new branding and wanted it showcased throughout our new office space. Ignition assisted us with all of these.
Moving offices alongside a rebrand was challenging, but with Ignition’s assistance, we navigated it successfully. Ignition crafted brand-centric privacy window frosting and coordinated the installation of our entry doors, meeting rooms, and individual offices, totalling 17 rooms. All of them look exceptional.”
“I have worked with Ignition Creative for more than 15 years and highly recommend Wayne and his team. Meaghan is a pleasure to work with, she is very responsive and her work is of the highest quality.
We are very pleased with our rebrand and new office and couldn’t have done this without Ignition Creative. They are very prompt, always keep us on track and their work is exceptional.”

FEATURED PROJECT
Website Redesign
Ignition worked with JCL to redesign their website. The team wanted it to be more user-friendly and on brand to better represent who they are to their clients and potential clients.
As a first step, we created wireframes to map out where new content would go. We then conceptualised and designed icons and graphics that embraced the new corporate colour palette and represented elevated graphic design for lawyers. Our design – the home page slider and the team pages – used images that featured the new rebrand logo elements throughout the office fitout.
We created a news section for JCL to populate with on-trend and relevant articles that would provide insight and value to their clients. And we included a new payment section so clients could easily settle accounts online.
Finally, we created a suite of icons using a round-corner, friendly style in order to make the website content easier to understand at a glance. We used these icons throughout the services list and payment portal.
Overall, we worked together as a team – JCL and Ignition Creative’s graphic design team – to create a website that is responsive on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. so that potential clients could access the information they needed no matter where they were or what device they were using.
Client Feedback
“It was a pleasure to work with Ignition Creative on our new website.“
“They were very professional, very focused and extremely knowledgeable. They kept me on track with the development of our website and always kept me informed every step of the way. Their eye for design and detail is exceptional and we were ecstatic with the photos they produced for our website. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.”

FEATURED PROJECT
Photoshoot Art Direction
JCL Law Firm needed a unique set of images that would set them apart from their competitors. They engaged Ignition Creative – experts in graphic design for lawyers – for a photoshoot and art direction to help them achieve that goal.
Ignition’s Creative Director, Wayne Britten, worked closely with JCL to develop a shot list for their shoot. He took on the role of art director and project manager, shaping each shot. And ensuring each aspect of JCL was captured.
The shoot itself was held in the JCL offices. We chose this location strategically because it allowed JCL clients to recognise and feel familiar with it when they arrived at JCL for the first time. We highlighted architectural elements, including a stunning mirrored plinth in the waiting room. Creating this inviting, but elevated feel, is one of the important elements of graphic design for lawyers.
We designed the shoot to be done from an artistic perspective, with long shutter speeds creating blurred movement across shots. Depth of field was also used to blur subjects in the background for supporting shots. This meant that subjects were not instantly recognisable or dated, ensuring all images from the shoot could be used for years to come.
